Prof. Minghao Qi named an OSA Fellow

Professor Minghao Qi has been elected to the 2018 Fellows Class of The Optical Society (OSA). He is one of 101 OSA members to receive this honor for significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics. Qi was recognized “for creative and impactful contributions to nanophotonic fabrication and integrated nanophotonic devices.”

PhD student Supriyo Maji among winners of SSCS contest

Purdue ECE PhD student Supriyo Maji is one of the winners of the 2017- 2018 Circuit Analysis and Design Contest, organized by the IEEE Solid State Circuit Society (SSCS). The goal of the contest was to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in thought provoking circuit analysis and design problems.

New C-BRIC center will tackle brain-inspired computing

Purdue University will lead a new national center to develop brain-inspired computing for intelligent autonomous systems such as drones and personal robots capable of operating without human intervention. The Center for Brain-inspired Computing Enabling Autonomous Intelligence, or C-BRIC, begins operating in January 2018.
