PhD student Supriyo Maji among winners of SSCS contest

Purdue ECE PhD student Supriyo Maji is one of the winners of the 2017- 2018 Circuit Analysis and Design Contest, organized by the IEEE Solid State Circuit Society (SSCS). The goal of the contest was to engage both undergraduate and graduate students in thought provoking circuit analysis and design problems.

All 18 individuals who submitted the correct answers received one year of free membership in SSCS and will have their names printed in the SSCS magazine and appear on the SSCS website.

Maji says he worked from the launch of the contest in September 2017 until the submission deadline in January 2018 to come up with an innovative solution to the problem of designing a circuit for synthesis of trigonometric function with maximum output swing.

“I will use the free membership to SSCS to gain access to the integrated-circuit educational and networking platform the Society offers,” he says.

The design problem and list of winners is available here: http://bit.ly/sscs-contest.

Maji’s submission can be viewed here.

SSCS has more than 9,000 members worldwide and focuses on fabricated integrated circuit designs for all applications using relevant materials and interconnections. The Society produces the Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC) and sponsors the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC).
