Saudi professors attending ENE workshops

Nearly a dozen faculty members from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia are visiting Purdue.
They are attending workshops organized by ENE faculty.
The goal is to promote the adoption of student-centered teaching practices and, in particular, opportunities to practice those methods.
The professors expressed interest in problem-based learning and experiential learning.
Their week-long visit began with a tour of the ENE facilities in Armstrong Hall.
Workshop topics include industry partnerships, problem framing and context, and supporting student motivation in the classroom and curriculum.
The KFUPM professors are visiting with other College of Engineering faculty during their stay in West Lafayette.
