Why did you choose to study electrical and computer engineering?

Love math and building models since childhood, computational electromagnetics was a great fit for my interests

Favorite Purdue ECE class or experience:

Loved working with classmates on the team projects in the computer room in MSEE

What organizations or activities were you involved in at Purdue? What did you gain from that involvement?

Purdue Women in Engineering Program (WIEP); got to know quite a few brilliant women engineering students/faculty members, very inspiring

What are you doing currently?

I’m a system architect at Intel Corporation, focusing on system integration, prototypes and customer innovations.

What are your ultimate career goals?

A technology leader and inventor who improves the way people live, learn and communicate

How is your Purdue degree helping you achieve your goals?

Ph.D. degree from Purdue is very well respected at Intel and overall industry. It was very helpful for me to get my first job. And the most important thing is beyond the degree: Purdue trained me very well on problem solving skills, which is the key to the success.

What advice do you have for current ECE students?

Enjoy your time at school, and maximize your learnings and opportunities, especially for female students, be brave and try out different things (classes, seminars, internships, etc.) to figure out what your true passion is.

What do you do in your free time?

Play and laugh  together with my little baby girl, hiking, swimming, movies, reading.
