Graduate Student Jiho Song wins Bronze Prize in Samsung's 23rd Humantech Paper Contest
Graduate student Jiho Song has won the Bronze Prize in Samsung Electronics' 23rd Humantech Paper contest for his work "Advanced Quantizer Designs for FDD-based FD-MIMO Systems Using Uniform Planar Arrays". The paper is co-authored by Jiho Song, Professor David J. Love, and Assistant Professor Junil Choi at POSTECH (Former Purdue graduate student).
The contest receives about 2,000 submissions every year in the fields including signal processing, circuit design, communications and networks, computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, material science and process, physical devices and science, energy and environment, bio engineering and life science, and basic science and technology. The award was established in 1994 with the purpose of encouraging Korean students to do research in science and technology. It has been awarded annually to the best papers authors, as judged by the award selection committee.
