Professors David Love, Michael Zoltowski, and Graduate Student Song Noh win Silver Prize in Samsung Electronics Paper Competition
Professors David Love, Michael Zoltowski, and graduate student Song Noh have won the Silver Prize in Samsung Electronics' 21st Humantech Paper contest for their work "Downlink training codebook design and hybrid precoding in FDD massive MIMO Systems".
The contest receives about 2,000 submissions every year in the fields including signal processing, circuit design, communications and networks, computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, material science and process, physical devices and science, energy and environment, bio engineering and life science, and basic science and technology. The award was established in 1994 with the purpose of encouraging Korean students to do research in science and technology. It has been awarded annually to the best papers authors, as judged by the award selection committee.
Song is co-advised by Professors Zoltowski and Love.
