Professors Andrew Weiner and David Janes have received College of Engineering Faculty Awards of Excellence.

Professor Weiner received the Mentoring Award, which recognizes excellence in the mentoring of graduate students, post doctorate staff, or junior faculty. Criteria include nurturing of the intellectual, professional, and personal development of the mentee(s).

Professor Janes received the Team Award as part of the Colombia Institute for Advanced Scientific Research, a partnership with Purdue and the government of Colombia established to focus on preparing Colombia's most accomplished students to become tomorrow's most accomplished researchers. The purpose of the Team Award is to recognize and encourage teamwork or multidisciplinary efforts by faculty and staff in the College of Engineering.
